DataCreds for Businesses: FairShare's Pricing Model

FairShare works on a flexible pay-as-you-go model where you only pay for the data and insights that you need. Get started for free by integrating FairShare onto your site at no cost. Initial testing with your first users will only cost a few dollars in storage and access fees. 

Funds added to your account are exchanged for DataCreds, which you can then spend to access user data insights. As your audience scales, FairShare offers volume-based discounts. These paid plans provide you with preferred DataCred conversion rates, keeping your costs low while still ensuring your users are still compensated for sharing their data.

What are DataCreds?

User data is inherently valuable and FairShare believes that users should be fairly compensated for the data that they choose to share. DataCreds are a points-style utility token that allow for users to be compensated based on the amount and type of data that they share, and for businesses to pay only for the access that they need. Users can redeem DataCreds for giveaways, affiliate offers, loyalty points and more (see DataCreds for My FairShare Users).

You can top up your account at anytime with as many or as few DataCreds as you need. Your DataCreds balance is displayed in the top right of your FairShare dashboard.

DataCreds Exchange Rate and Volume-Based Discounts

DataCreds(DC) are purchased in USD with a base conversion rate of 1000DC/$1*. Depending on the number of users you have, or anticipate to have, preferred conversion rate plans are available. These plans reduce your cost-per-user as your audience grows, allowing you to scale while still compensating your audience for sharing their data.

What do my DataCreds pay for?

Your DataCred balance goes towards variable user data storage and data access costs. Data storage costs are incurred daily and are based on the number of users you have in the FairShare platform and the number of social accounts registered. Your data access costs will depend how many insights reports and API calls you make as well as the number of users included in those reports.

What can I expect to pay monthly?

FairShare's pricing is highly variable and based on the number of users you have in the platform and your engagement with their data. Here's an example of typical cost breakdowns for three different audience sizes from a test audience of 100 active users to a established audience of 45,000 users. These numbers are based on a per user, per day storage cost and data access cost of 2 DataCreds each, as well as 3 API calls per user, per month at 2 DataCreds per call.
